When her husband came home from his service, he came home changed. An injury took his ability to walk, but never his pride in the flag he stood for. So she picked up a needle and a single satin rose, and she got to work.
Now a small circle of women spend their afternoons rolling roses by hand, laying out stars and stripes one petal at a time. Every wreath they make is a way to honor the people who gave so much.
